Thanks to everyone who joined my session at the Global Microsoft 365 Developer Bootcamp that was focused on the Microsoft Graph (Graph, Graph API, Graph SDK & Graph Toolkit).
I’m making all the resources available including the recording of the presentation so that others can use this as a self-paced learning resource.
The agenda for this session was:
- 1 hour presentation on Microsoft Graph development (view slide deck)
- 3 hours of step-by-step labs (lab instructions)
- Lab 1 – setup your development environment
- Lab 2 – build a JavaScript single-page application using Microsoft Graph (this lab focuses on the authentication/consent process and making simple authenticated calls to the Graph using the JavaScript Graph SDK)
- Lab 3 – build a Warehouse Packing App (HTML/JavaScript/CSS) using the Graph Toolkit (this lab focuses on how simple the authentication/consent process is using the Graph Toolkit and using the Toolkit and Graph SDK together)

This was the first time I’d attempted to run a developer bootcamp virtually. I’m pretty happy with how it went and the feedback was very positive. You can read more about the planning that went into running this session virtually along with what worked well and what didn’t work so well.
