A Week @ Microsoft Campus

It has been an amazing and rewarding week for me as Microsoft MVPs (Most Valuable Professionals) and RDs (Regional Directors) travelled from all corners of the world to gather at the Microsoft Redmond Campus for an intense week of knowledge sharing, direct engagement with product teams and Microsoft leadership, providing feedback, sharing vision and discussing current and future challenges.

The Microsoft campus itself had undergone an impressive modernisation since my last pre-COVID visit, some new signs for those all-important photo opportunities!

Thankfully one of the quirkier sights on campus still remains, the treehouses! No trip is complete without a quick visit to these interesting little meeting spaces suspended in the trees and smelling like a sauna.

This is an incredibly inspiring community of people and also the one where I feel like the biggest imposter, there are so many incredibly intelligent, accomplished, passionate and compassionate people.

A highlight for me was having the opportunity to meet Mark Russinovich the CTO of Azure and hear his vision for the future and what thoughts occupy his mind. His breadth and depth of technical knowledge is simply incredible.

I was also fortunate to catchup with these two inspirational Microsoft leaders that have personally shaped the key technologies that I have built a career on.

The Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) program recognizes exceptional community leaders for their technical expertise, leadership, speaking experience, online influence, and commitment to solving real world problems.
